In September 2000, God entrusted to us seven “gifts” that needed a special care, and in the following months there were 14 children in our house. These small, but precious “gifts” have been sent to us by God so that we watch over them with all our love, to fulfill their needs and also to show them the way to Heaven.
We remember even now how the children were ten years ago, when they first entered our home: little, nervous, feeling strange, while they are now grown, confident and hopeful.
Three of our girls have formed their own families and they themselves have children now, whom they responsibly raise. We can see how the hand of God took care of us day after day, at each step of the way. We have a wonderful God who promises wonderful things. As David, the Psalmist, we may also say: “I was young and now I am
old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread.” We say that we have not grown old, yet looking at our children we realize that we have “matured” along with them. But what we can say with confidence is that God did not leave us, not even for a moment, during all these years and also the fact that we never had to beg for bread. We entrusted ourselves and our children to God and we are convinced that, as long as we stay under His protective wings, His promise remains valid
for us, for our children and for their descendants as well.
What gives us courage to continue our work is that the Caminul Felix ministry is not only a human thing – we fully believe that God planned it long before it started. We know that God entrusted the children to us for a limited time, and for this time we ask for His strength and His protection over us.
