The mission of Caminul Felix Villages is to establish family villages in collaboration with national Christian churches, organizations and individuals in countries where there are abandoned children. Our vision is to meet the physical, spiritual, emotional and social needs of the orphaned and abandoned children of the world in a loving, healthy and stable environment.  Caminul Felix Villages also provides training and guidance for others to build on this concept in order to further this mission to orphaned and abandoned children.

When a child is born into a loving family, the child arrives at a place of security, peace and unconditional love. The child is free to explore life, grow up, and nurture their dreams and ambitions. This should be every child’s right.

The Convention on the Rights of the Child is a universally agreed set of non-negotiable standards and obligations. These basic standards are called human rights and they set minimum entitlements and freedoms. They are founded on respect for the dignity and worth of each individual, regardless of race, color, gender, language, religion, opinions, origins, wealth, birth status or ability and therefore apply to every human being everywhere. Despite this convention, millions of children of all ages have been left abandoned by unfortunate circumstances. In this abandoned state, they live their lives in despair and loneliness. The suffering among the rejected children is our calling. We believe that their only hope for a full life is to be given a new, real family, with a mother and a father, and with the security and caring love a family can provide. This is the environment they’ll be given at a Caminul Felix Village. The good news is that hundreds of children have been given the gift of family through Caminul Felix Villages.

With two Caminul Felix family villages in western Romania and one in the south of Thailand, Caminul Felix Villages has been nurturing the physical, spiritual, emotional and socio-economic needs of orphaned and abandoned children since 1990.

Caminul Felix Villages is an independent, Christian organization with ties in Norway, Sweden, the United Kingdom and the United States. The organization relies heavily on private and corporate financial support and sustains an extensive network of international volunteers.

Family standards and behaviour vary from culture to culture. Therefore the leadership of each Caminul Felix Village is national and local, supported and monitored by the Caminul Felix Villages Board. The most important part is the well being of the child. This means that the child will be protected according to the values of a loving, real, life-long relationship of family life. These Christian values are cross-cultural and adoptable anywhere. Therefore the characteristics of love and respect, faithfulness and integrity, righteousness and equality for everyone in the family and an environment of no violence of any nature, are part of the commitment to family life. This is common for every family village.

The Caminul Felix Villages are governed by an international board that is made up of representatives and leaders from churches, businesses, mass media, international charity organizations, as well as actual parents and leaders working in Caminul Felix Family Villages.

The executive offices are: Idea & Concept, Teaching & Support, Finance, Expansion, Marketing & Public Relation.

Love is stronger than blood. Neither genes nor rules decide the identity of a family. Family is based on the loving commitment to one another. That is what Caminul Felix Villages gives.
